The Freedom Cups Campaign: Aiming to get menstrual cups to women in the developing world

A new campaign, Freedom Cups, is seeking to distribute menstrual cups to women in third world countries for free.

They are running a funding campaign for 10 pilot program site in Asia – to see what might work and how.

Information on the campaign is here:

The site features many excellent infographics and statistics on why menstrual hygiene is such an important issues, and why menstrual cups can be such a great option. It’s a really well thought out campaign – the use of pilot sites allows for closely tailoring the supply of cups to the real needs and preferences of women and girls, which can only be a good thing.

Check out the site and consider contributing to their campaign. Ultimately the program seeks to leverage consumer purchases into improving the choices of women and girls without as much choice.
